AIT Carries Mission Visit to Lao PDR
In late April 2004, Prof. Chongrak Polprasert, Dean SERD led an AIT delegation for an official mission visit to Vientiane, Lao PDR to promote the Institute as the educational hub for human resources development.
The visit aims at informing Lao nationals about AIT's contribution to help its human resource development for sustainable development of the region, disseminating information about AIT to the government agencies of Lao PDR, particularly the ministries and departments and creating awareness about various scholarships available to Lao nationals for studying at AIT as well as distributing application forms to prospective candidates.
The AIT delegation included Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe, Director, Promotion Activities; Dr. Weerakorn Ongsakul, Coordinator, Energy FoS; and Ms. Naina Shakya, Program Officer, Office of the President.
