AIT Hosts 4th AIT-KIST International Symposium
On May 20, 2004, AIT hosted the 4th AIT-KIST (Korean Institute of Science and Technology) International Cooperation Symposium at Room B-206, AIT Conference Center.
Gathered for a cause: Officials of AIT and KIST and participants at the symposium provide full attention
The event was opened by Prof. Huynh Ngoc Phien, Dean SAT outlining the background of the organization of the Joint International Symposium. Prof. Jean-Louis Armand, AIT President delivered the Welcome Address and AIT introductory, followed by KIST presentation by Prof. You Seung Kim, KIST President.
The Symposium had special sessions on High Technology Research in Thailand; Nanomaterials; Bio-reactors; Manufacturing Processes; Environmental Processes and Analysis; Robotics; and Biotechnology and Food Engineering.
AIT and KIST have been conducting the joint symposium annually since 2001. The first one was hosted by KIST in Seoul, Korea on July 6-7, 2001.
