New Appointment

The Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Teresita Cruz del Rosario (left) as Visiting Associate Professor with effect from 19 April 2004. She is on leave from the Asian Institute of Management based in Manila where she serves as Associate Professor at the School for Development Management. While at AIT, Dr del Rosario will deliver degree-level courses, including the Institute-wide course on 'Gender and Society in Asia', and will be involved in student research guidance. She will also assist in the activities of the Greater Mekong Subregion Academic and Research Network (GMSARN), on behalf of the GMSARN Secretariat, as well as assist in the Institute's networking activities with the Asian Development Bank.

Dr del Rosario obtained her doctoral degree in Sociology from Boston College, Masters Degrees in Social Anthropology and Public Administration from Harvard University, Masters Degree in Public Administration from New York University, and Bachelors Degree in Sociology from Maryknoll College in the Philippines. She has extensive experience in academe and government service, and serves as a resource for non-government organizations. She maintains an active consultancy for international organizations.
