AIT joins Pathumthani Education Fair

AIT joins Pathumthani Education Fair

AIT joined 22 other educational institutions in the recent Pathumthani 'Educational Fair for Allied Institutes' held at the Dome Building of Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus.

The event -- held from 24 - 26 September 2004 -- was organized by the Office of the Governor of Pathumthani Province. It was aimed to attract parents as well as potential students at all levels to learn and study in the province. The event further promotes the Thai Government's policy on encouraging each province to promote its own strategic competence,
and in this regard, Mr. Vichit Vichaisarn, Governor of Pathumthani province has promoted education as a Pathumthani competitive advantage due to many well recognized schools, institutes, and universities situated in the area.

Multi-awarded SCE researcher Surak Piyaraksakul (right), explains research development on his recent entry awarded as first prize at the 'The Fifth Elephant Power Concrete Contest' under the High Strength Concrete category. The contest was jointly organized by Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut's University of Technology, Thongburi and Siam Cement from 26-27 August 2004.

The event was opened by Dr. Purachai Piamsomboom, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand. It was followed by a special lecture of Assistant Professor Pawich Thongroch, Secretary General, Office of Higher Education; an address by Mr. Vichit Vichaisarn, Governor of Pathumthani and a performance summary and video presentation by Assistant Professor Somchai Viriyayuthakorn, Vice President for Administration, Thammasat University. The event was highlighted by an MoU signing between the Governor of Pathumthani and institutional administrators.
