The School of Management welcomes new faculty member joining in August 2004.
Prof. Ilkka Kauranen (right) - Professor & Director, Helsinki University of Technology, Lahiti Center, Finland - is joining the School of Management as a Visiting Professor for a period of two years. Prof. Kauranen received his M.Eng. & D. Tech. from Helsinki University of Technology, Finland. Prof. Kauranen will teach the course SM70.22 'Financing of Technological Ventures'. The School of Advanced Technologies welcomes Prof. Santiram Kal and Dr. Vineet Sahula, as Visiting Professor and Visiting Senior Lecturer respectively to the field of Microelectronics this August 2004 semester. They are seconded by the Government of India.
Prof. Santiram Kal (left) obtained his Ph.D. degree in Engineering Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology in 1983. He has been working as a Professor in Engineering Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. His research interests are: microelectronics & VLSI design; MEMS; VLSI process technology, ASICs; integrated silicon micro-sensors; advanced salicide technology; Si-Ge, Si-Ge-C materials & devices; process & device simulation; microwave integrated circuits.

Dr. Vineet Sahula (right), currently an Assistant Professor in Department of Electronic and Communication Engineering, Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur. He acquired his M.Tech. and Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 1989 and 2001 respectively. His research interests are: design process modeling & analysis; CAD of digital systems, high level modeling & synthesis of digital system; physical design for deep sub micron; design for manufacturability.
