Nobel laureate Prof. Cohen-Tannoudji sees you at the 'Bridges' event series


Prof. Claude Cohen-Tannoudji (right), a 1997 Nobel Laureate for Physics recipient will see you and all of the AIT community in a lecture in the next 'Bridges' event series to be held on Wednesday 08 December 2004, 10:00 a.m. at the Milton E. Bender Jr. Auditorium. Prof. Cohen-Tannoudji will lecture on the topic 'Manipulating Atoms with Light'.

Prof. Cohen-Tannoudji was awarded the 1997 Nobel Prize for Physics jointly with Prof. Steven Chu and Dr. William D. Phillips for the development of methods to cool and trap atoms with laser light. Prof. Cohen-Tannoudji is currently a Professor at the College de France in Paris, and he does his research at the Laboratory of Physics of the Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris
