Promotions to professorial rank
I am pleased to announce that the Executive Committee at its 13 December 2004 meeting endorsed the promotion to the rank of Professor of Dr Kazi Mohiuddin Ahmed, SAT/Telecommunications Field of Study, and of Dr Dencho N Batanov, SAT/Computer Science & Information Management Fields of Study.
Professor Ahmed (left) has been associated with the Institute since September 1994. His major areas of specialization are radio propagation, satellite communication, and signal processing.
Professor Batanov (right) has been associated with the Institute since January 1992. His major areas of specialization are knowledge-based expert systems, object orientation, and software engineering.
These promotions recognize their valuable contributions to our Institute and their professions, and we offer them our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes.
