6 - 7 June 2005: 'Scientific Forum on the Tsunami, its Impact and Recovery' will be held at the AIT Conference Center.' The event is organized by AIT in partnership with the UNEP Regional Resource Center for Asia and the Pacific (UNEP RRCAP); University of Rhode Island/USAID; Federal Institute of Hydrology, Germany, Ibaraki University, Japan; Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC); Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Thailand; Kenan Institute Asia; United Nations University; the ASEAN Foundation

The Scientific Forum aims to explore, analyze and take measurable steps to better understand the recent tsunami phenomenon.

Qureshi, Chairman of the Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee, Education Department of the Government of Sindh, Karachi, Pakistan and , Chairman of the Board of the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited, and the New Bangkok International Airport Company Limited will be the distinguished speakers at AIT's 103rd commencement exercises to be held on Friday, 27 May 2005 at the AIT Conference Center.
