Visiting AIT
On May 10, 2005, Mr. Che Ku Mohammad Faizal, Head of Biotechnology Program, Faculty of Chemical & Natural Resources Engineering; Mr. Kamal Yusoh, Head of Chemical Engineering Program, Faculty of Chemical & Natural Resources Engineering; Mr. Mohd Yusrl Mohd Yunus, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Chemical & Natural Resources Engineering and Mr. Syed Mohd Saufi, Lecturer, Faculty of Chemical & Natural Resources Engineering, University College of Engineering & Technology Malaysia (KUKTEM) visited AIT.
The visit marks a follow up meeting after Prof. Dr. Mortaza Mohamed, Deputy Rector, University College of Engineering & Technology Malaysia (KUKTEM) visited AIT in 10 March 2005.
The KUKTEM officials met with Prof. Mario T. Tabucanon, Acting President and was joined by Prof. Vinod K. Jindal, FEBT/ SERD; Prof. C. Visvanathan, Coordinator, UEEM Program/ SERD; Prof. Sudip K. Rakshit, FEBT program/ SERD; Mr. Benjamin A. Gargabite, Director of Admissions and Scholarships; Mr. Ng Eng Wan, Chief Financial Officer; Mr. Tenzin Rabgyal and Ms. Hnin Aye Lwin, Program Officers, Office of the President.
The delegation expressed their interest to collaborate with the AIT in exploring the possibility of developing a joint degree program in School of Civil Engineering and School of Environment, Resources and Development, as well as joint research project and doctoral study at AIT.
The delegation also visited School of Environment, Resources and Development and had discussion with Prof. C. Visvanathan and Prof. Sudip K. Rakshit. In addition, Prof. C. Visvanathan and Prof. Sudip K. Rakshit showed the delegation the Environmental Engineering and Bio-tech labs under SERD.
Similarly, Mr. Thomas I. Aduloju, School Planning Officer gave a briefing about SCE and showed them the School's facilities.
