The Asian Fisheries Society (AFS) recently reappointed Dr. Yang Yi (fifth from left), Associate Professor and Coordinator, Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management, School of Environment, Resources and Development, as council member and was also newly appointed as editorial board member of the Asian Fisheries Science Journal.

The School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) welcomes Dr. James E. Rakocy as a Visiting Research Professor in the Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management Field of Study for August Semester 2005.
Dr. James E. Rakocy is Acting Vice Provost, Research and Public Service Component, and Director, Agricultural Experiment Station, at University of the Virgin Islands (UVI), USA. He received his B.S. in Zoology from Wisconsin University, M.S.P.H. in Environmental Biology from North Carolina University and Ph.D. in Aquaculture from Auburn University.
