The School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) welcomes Dr. James E. Rakocy as a Visiting Research Professor in the Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management Field of Study for August Semester 2005.

Dr. James E. Rakocy is Acting Vice Provost, Research and Public Service Component, and Director, Agricultural Experiment Station, at University of the Virgin Islands (UVI), USA. He received his B.S. in Zoology from Wisconsin University, M.S.P.H. in Environmental Biology from North Carolina University and Ph.D. in Aquaculture from Auburn University. U.S.A.

Now Dr. Rakocy is on sabbatical leave to conduct research projects supported by Aquaculture CRSP and kindly to co-teach the course ED71.03: Inland Aquaculture and supervise graduate student in the August 2005 Semester. He can be contacted in Room 207, AFE Building, tel. ext. 5477.
