The School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) welcomes Dr. Animesh Dutta (right) as an assistant professor in the Energy Field of Study effective 01 July 2005.
Dr. Dutta was a Research Manager with Greenfield Research Incorporated since January 2003. He received his Ph. D from Dalhousie University, Canada in 2002. Before joining to AIT, he has been engaged with a number of national and international projects on clean energy technologies funded by Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), SIDA, National Research Council (NRC) Canada, and Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), Canada. He has published more than 30 papers and articles in international journals, conferences and workshops. His research areas include: Fluidized Bed Combustors, Advanced Energy Systems, Heat Transfer in Energy System, Energy Conservation, Gasification/Combined Cycle Power Generation, Heat Recovery Devices, Thermodynamic Optimization, Heat Transfer Augmentation, Energy Management and Technology Transfer.
Dr. Dutta will teach the course ED72.06: Design and Management of Energy Systems in the August 2005 semester. He can be contacted in Room ET-210, Energy Building, and at tel. ext. 5403.
