Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President, recently announced the appointment of three new vice presidents (VPs). Appointed were as follows: Professor Peter Haddawy as VP for Education, Professor Sudip K. Rakshit as VP for Research and Professor Vilas Wuwongse and Professor Khin Ni Ni Thein as VP for External Relations.

6-8 December 2005: Third International Symposium on Southeast Asian Water Environment

The University of Tokyo (UT) and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), in
cooperation with Southeast Asian Center on Water Environment Technology
(SACWET), a joint center of UT and AIT, will hold the Third International Symposium on Southeast Asian Water Environment, at the AIT Conference Centre, on 6-8 December 2005.

The purpose of this Symposium is to provide a forum for discussion and exchange among researchers/practitioners in Environmental Technology and Management and related areas from the Asian Region and to promote interaction among researchers from Asia-Pacific countries, Japan and other parts of the world.
