AIT, AITAA to hold 3rd Prominent Alumni Lecture Series
The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and the AIT Alumni Association (AITAA) will hold the 3rd AIT Prominent Alumni Lecture Series on Monday, 17 Oct., 1:00 p.m. at the Milton E. Bender Jr. Auditorium.
The 3rd series entitled 'Sustainable Transportation Development in Taiwan Area' will be conducted by Mr. Shih-Yi George Chen (right), Division Convener of Sustainable Development Division, National Policy Foundation and Board Director of the China Road Federation.
Mr. Chen, an AIT alumnus who obtained his M.Eng. (Transportation Engineering) in 1972, has a diversified career of over 40 years as an educator, a researcher, an administrator, a writer, and a civic leader. He was a former Acting Minister and Executive Vice-Minister, Ministry of Transportation and Communication, Taiwan and recently former Commissioner, Department of Transportation, Taiwan Provincial Government.
His lecture -- the 3rd series of a kind -- will cover as follows:
- Introduction to High Speed Railway Project in Taiwan
- Introduction to Highway Network Development in Taiwan
- Transportation Policy in Taipei City
- Taipei-Ilan Expressway
