The 8th German Technology Symposium & Exhibition (GTS '05) is being held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center from 8 - 12 November. AIT is participating in this forum and will have a booth (No. 328 in the Plenary Hall) displaying AIT's research output and education and training programs.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will graciously preside over the opening ceremony. She will be greeted at the AIT Booth by Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President and Prof. Vilas Wuwongse, VP –External Relations.

A symposium address on AIT's role in 'Technology, Development and Management in Asia - Research Themes & Opportunities for Collaboration' will be delivered by Professor Sudip K. Rakshit, AIT Vice President-Research (Wednesday 17:00 - 18:30). AIT Prof. Athapol Noomhorm, FEBT/SERD, and Dr. Nitin V. Afzulpurkar of Mechatronics/SAT will participate as symposium moderators. AIT will also showcase the SAT-ISE Program's flying robot, an inspection machine, and a showcase box.

The GTS05 Industry Fair brings in the participation of more than twenty well-known German companies in Thailand and universities and agencies from Germany. More than sixty symposium sessions will be held in various business and service sectors. The symposium will be an ideal forum for business-oriented engineers, scientists and technologists, lecturers, instructors, economists and business executives to obtain technical and related information for their decision-making process. Highlights of the symposium are the packaging technology from Germany. Fourteen leading German Universities will provide first hand information on modern and broad range of studies offered by them.

All AIT faculty, students and staff are welcome to join this Fair. Entrance is free. ARSA has organised a field trip for students to this Fair on 9 November in the afternoon and 51 students have confirmed to join.
