SERD joins BioThailand 2005

Prof. Chongrak Polprasert and Prof. Athapol Noomhorm recently led staff, and students at the Bio Thailand 2005: Challenges in the 21st Century exhibition. The event was held from 2-5 Nov. 2005 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The School of Sustainable Development, AIT's promotional exhibition booth was said to have attracted a large number of participants and bypassers.

At the opening ceremony on 2 Nov., HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously visited the AIT booth and had a conversation with the AIT delegation and encouraged AIT to collaborate with the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy in the areas of water pollution control, solid waste management, and food processing.

BioThailand 2005 was jointly organized by the National Center for Genetic Engineering and biotechnology (BIOTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), National Nanotechnology Center, with support from various companies and organizations.

The international conference which is held every two years, included keynote lectures, contributed papers, and presentations from renowned speakers in areas related to BioNanotechnology (focusing on Drug Delivery & Biosensors).
