KOICA increases Endowment Fund contribution
The Government of the Republic of Korea, through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), has recently confirmed an additional US$500,000 contribution to the Korea Endowment Fund at AIT.
The contribution now increases -- the Endowment Fund established in 1981 with the initial contribution of US$500,000 from the Govt.
Prof. Irandoust Appoints Associate Deans
Upon the recommendations of the School Deans, Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT
President on 21 Dec. 2005 confirmed the appointments of the following respective
Associate Deans.
These appointments, which will take effect from 1 January 2006 are subject to the continuation of their primary appointments as Faculty in the Institute, shall not go beyond the terms of the Deans.

AITAA Thailand Chapter launches new website
The Asian Institute of Technology Alumni Association (AITAA) Thailand Chapter recently launched an all-new version of the AITAA Thailand Chapter website.
The website was launched on 16 December 16, 2005 coinciding AIT's 104th Graduation
ceremony.
The First Decision Meeting
The First Decision Meeting was organized by Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President, on 13 December 2005 at the Milton E. Bender Auditorium. The meeting was held towards the President' s efforts to have more transparency and openness in the decision making process particularly on issues of strategic importance or policy related issues which have impact on the Institute as a whole.
2005 Year-end Institute Forum
Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President, led the members of the administration
namely Prof. Peter Haddawy, Vice President for Education; Prof. Vilas Wuwongse,
Vice President for External Relations; Mr. Ng Eng Wan, Chief Finance Officer;
and Ms. Kalchana Nettayawichit, Human Resources Office Director, to present
the administration's initiatives and implementations during the first six
months under the new AIT management at the 2005 Year-End Institute Forum held
on 14 December 2005 at the AIT Conference Center Auditorium.
