AIT Alumnus appointed Deputy Chair
Congratulations to Mr. Achmed Lanti (left), WRE'83 alumnus from SERD who was recently selected and appointed Deputy Chairperson of the Executive Committee of East Asia Pacific Infrastructure Regulator Forum (EAPIRF). Mr. Lanti's service will require a 3-year program.
New kiosk opens at AITCS
A new kiosk located near the AIT Community School (AITCS) has just opened
to serve the needs of students of AITCS. Open from Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., the kiosk will cater various types of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Seminars, Workshops and Conferences
20 October 2005: RNUS seminar on'Advanced Technology for Urban Safety'.
. The seminar will be held 1:00 p.m. at the Milton E.Bender Jr.Auditorium.
The seminar which focuses on the management on disasters and hazardous environment will be delivered by distinguished Japanese professors.
Visiting AIT
On 17 October, Mr. Amita Lal Gooneratna (right), Managing Director/CEO of Commercial Bank of Ceylon made a courtesy call on Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President.
During the meeting, Prof. Irandoust expressed the interest of AIT to further collaborate with CBC to be the private sector arm of AIT in Sri Lanka.
