AIT President Comments on Teacher's Day
On the occasion of Teacher's Day celebrations in Thailand, the AIT Community School also organized the Teacher's Day on 16 January 2006. The event was joined by Madame Airi, AIT President's wife as the chief guest of honor. Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President, in an e-mail message expressed his thanks to parents and children for the wonderful manner in which they expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the teachers and their assistants of the AIT Community School.
Prof. Irandoust added that teachers make a tremendous contribution to sustainable development by building its human foundation - developing a child's capacity and desire to learn.
'Teachers need encouragement and support from the community to feel that their devotion to students is appreciated and it is but befitting that such a memorable event was organized,' he said.
