UCC-Water, AIT Sign MoU
The UNEP Collaborating Centre on Water and Environment (UCC-Water), Denmark and AIT, on 9 January 2006, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote close relationships in order to share experiences and expertise, exchange
technological materials and other information, and develop future areas of
joint endeavors.
AIT invites prospective students, families to 17 February Open House
The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is hosting an Open House on Friday, 17 February 2006, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at its Rangsit, Pathumthani, campus.
Current university students, their parents, faculty members from other institutions and those in mid-career who are considering advanced degrees are invited to learn about AIT's master's and doctoral programs and extensive research activities.
AITCS Teachers Day
The AITCS Parent-Teachers Association will hold an AITCS Teachers Day on Monday, 16 January 2006, from 11.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m., in appreciation and gratitude for all the work and contributions of the AITCS teachers and their assistants.
Language Classes
The Language Center (LC) announces the opening of a Beginner's Level Thai Course, Beginner's for Chinese and French classes with the following information:
Thai Course
Schedule: 31 January - 14 March 2006
Tuesday & Thursday, 5:00-6:30 pm, total 20 hours
(Two 1.5 hr classes per week)
Maximum class size: 20 persons***
Chinese Course
The course will be conducted if at least 10 people register.
ICM/NFT'06 Call for Papers
AIT, University of Tolodo/PMMC, USA, and the American Society of Abrasive Technology (ASAT) will organize the 2006 International Conference on Micro/Nano Fabrication Technologies- ICM/NFT '06. The event will be held from 10 - 12 May 2006 at Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square.
EPSM, SNU Korea co-organize workshop
The Electric Power System Management (EPSM) Field of Study, SERD and the Electric Power Reliability and Power Quality Research Center of Seoul National University (SNU), Korea will jointly organize a training workshop on 'Power System Reliability in Competitive Market Environment.
Open house draws prospective students
A total of 69 students from at least three countries visited Friday, 17 February 2006 , for AIT's first open house.
Visitors were greeted in the morning by staff and student volunteers.
