The Industrial Systems Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology (SET) welcomes two Visiting faculty who joined in January 2006 semester as follows:
Dr. Denis Sweatman is currently a Lecturer, School of Microelectronic Engineering, Griffith University, Queensland, Australia. He obtained his Ph.D. (1982) at the University of Queensland. His areas of research interest include Analog and Digital Devices, Circuits, Sensors and Optic Communications.
While at Micro/SET, Dr. Sweatman will be a co-lecturer of AT75.09 - Optoelectronic Materials and Devices. He can be contacted at room no. 206 (Chalerm Prakiat Bldg.), ext. 5617.
Dr. Ravi Shankar, a seconded faculty by the Indian Government, is currently an Associate Professor, Dept. of Management Studies, IIT Delhi, India. He obtained his Ph.D. (1999) at IIT Delhi. His areas of research interest include Supply Chain Management; Operations Management/Industrial Engineering; Quantitative Techniques for Managerial Decision; Management of Information and Communication Technology.
During his stay at ISE/SET, Dr. Shankar will teach a course AT72.09 - Inventory and Logistic.

The School of Management (SOM) welcomes the following new faculty members who joined in January 2006 Semester:
Dr. Marian Beise (right), who joined AIT as an Assistant Professor, received his Diploma in Industrial Engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen) in 1994 and Doctoral Degree in 6(Economics and Business Administration) in 2001, Technical University of Berlin, Germany. Previously, he was a Researcher at the Institute for Economics and Business Administration of Kobe University, Japan.
In January Semester 2006 Dr. Beise will teach the courses SM60.51 'Marketing Management' (Section I) and SM71.9010 'International Marketing'.

Prof. Vedulla Shekhar (left), Professor, Department of Business Management, Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, joined AIT as Visiting Professor from 9 January - July 2006.
Prof. Shekhar received his B.Com. (Auditing), 1979; M.Com (Marketing), 1988;
MBA. (Marketing), 1982 and Ph.D. (Marketing), Osmania University, 1991.

Dr. Janakiraman Moorthy (right), an Associate Professor, Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, India, joined AIT as Visiting Associate Professor from 9 January - July 2006.
He obtained his M.Sc. (Agricultural Economics), Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, Coimbator, India, 1987; Ph.D. (Marketing Management), Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India, 1994.
Dr. Moorthy will teach the courses SM 72.57 'Customer Relationship Management' and 'SM60.51 'Marketing Management' (Section II).

Dr. Vidyanan Jha, an Assistant Executive, National Diary Development Board, India, June1991-May 1988, joined AIT as a Visiting Associate Professor from January - July 2006.
He received his Post Graduate Diploma (Rural Management) in Institute of Rural Management Anand, Anand, Gujarat, India and Ph.D. (Implementation of Quality Management Programmes), Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India, 1998.
Dr. Jha will teach the course SM73.44 'Management of Change in Public Organization'.

Prof. Micheal Henry Bouchet, Finance Professor, Scientific Director, France, will join AIT as a Visiting Professor in April 2006 for 3 weeks. Prof. Brouchet received his: Diploma from IEP - Paris and his Master Degree in Economics from the University of Paris, Ph.D. in International Relations from USC, Columbia USA, and HRD from University Paris - Dauphine.
Prof. Bouchet will teach the course SM71.9005 'Country Risk Management'.
