Anti-virus software offered free of charge
ITServ reminds all members of the AIT community that the site-licensed anti-virus program, Trend Micro Officescan, is available to all AIT users at no cost. It is centrally updated from a mirror server inside AIT, therefore updates are fast and reliable.
Updates are also possible through the Internet when away from AIT so it can be used on mobile computers. It has significant advantages over other popular programs such as Norton Anti-virus. All members of the community are strongly encouraged to use it. If you already have another anti-virus program, you are advised to use the AIT anti-virus program instead. Only exception may be when three conditions are met: Yours is your own private, officially licensed copy; you are certain that it is automatically updated at least once a week; you have specific reasons to prefer it over Trend Micro Officescan.
