Cultural Show scheduled for 8 April
The Culture and Gender Committee of the AIT Student Union announces the AIT Cultural Show on 8 April 2006 at the AIT Conference Center from 4 to 8 p.m. with the theme 'Harmony in Dissonance'.
The Student Union invites the AIT community from all countries to register for performance fashion show and food fair in this show.
Lectures explore spirituality, technology and role of business in the 21st century
On 10 April 2006, AIT will host Her Holiness Maa Sai Lakshmi Devi to lecture on 'Spirituality and Technology' and Ms. Marilyn Tam to subsequently lecture on 'The Role of Business in the 21st Century.

AIT-Sri Lanka relations flourishing
A delegation from AIT visited Sri Lanka 16 and 17 February 2006 to follow up on the already well establish links AIT currently enjoys with the Sri Lankan government, ministries, universities and private sector as well as to have discussion on the proposed establishment of the AIT Center in Applied Biotechnology with the partnership of the University of Colombo and University of Peradeniya.

AIT extending outreach across Asia
The External Relations and Communications office is currently exploring new AIT centers in Indonesia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and possibly the Middle East. This initiative was brought about by AIT President Said Irandoust in consultation with Prof.
VP for education renamed VP for academic affairs
On 6 March, AIT President Prof. Said Irandoust informed the AIT community that in order to be more consistent with common international academic practice and in order to avoid possible confusion, the position of vice president for education will be renamed vice president for academic affairs.
Dr. Kouwenberg named SOM associate dean
AIT President Prof. Said Irandoust confirmed the appointment of Dr. Roy Kouwenberg, as associate dean of the School of Management on Thursday, 9 March 2006. He is an assistant professor of international business.
Delegation looks at intellectual property collaboration
On 21 February 2006, a delegation from the EC ASEAN Intellectual Property Rights Cooperation Program (ECAP II) visited AIT to discuss collaboration on an intellectual property program including the Regional Intellectual Property Management Center Project.
Income tax documents distributed
With regard to annual personal income tax returns ('PND 91') for 2005, the payroll office distributed the following documents to all employees by 6 March 2006: Paper Form PND 91 in Thai; completed PND 91 (English version for non-Thai); and Individual 2005 Withholding Tax Certificate.
