AIT extending outreach across Asia

VP for education renamed VP for academic affairs

On 6 March, AIT President Prof. Said Irandoust informed the AIT community that in order to be more consistent with common international academic practice and in order to avoid possible confusion, the position of vice president for education will be renamed vice president for academic affairs.

Dr. Kouwenberg named SOM associate dean

AIT President Prof. Said Irandoust confirmed the appointment of Dr. Roy Kouwenberg, as associate dean of the School of Management on Thursday, 9 March 2006. He is an assistant professor of international business.

Delegation looks at intellectual property collaboration

On 21 February 2006, a delegation from the EC – ASEAN Intellectual Property Rights Cooperation Program (ECAP II) visited AIT to discuss collaboration on an intellectual property program including the Regional Intellectual Property Management Center Project.

Income tax documents distributed

With regard to annual personal income tax returns ('PND 91') for 2005, the payroll office distributed the following documents to all employees by 6 March 2006: Paper Form PND 91 in Thai; completed PND 91 (English version for non-Thai); and Individual 2005 Withholding Tax Certificate.
