Bangladesh alumni chapter president visits campus
On 26 May 2006, AIT President Said Irandoust received Mr. Syed Monzur Husain Bokhari (WRE'76), president of the AIT Alumni Association, Bangladesh Chapter, and director of Design Planning & Management Consultants Ltd., Bangladesh.
The meeting was joined by Prof. John Hugh Jones, former AIT faculty 1960-1977 and emeritus professor, and Mr. Kyaw Soe Hlaing, Alumni Relations coordinator. AIT's collaboration activities in Bangladesh were discussed.
During his visit to AIT from 23 to 27 May 2006, Mr. Bokhari attended AIT's 105th Graduation Ceremony and had meetings with Gen. Dr. Boonsrang Niumpradit (SEC'78), president of AITAA-Mother Chapter and its executive commmittee members; Mr. Surendra Man Shrestha (CSIM'80), former president of AITAA-Mother Chapter, director of the United Nations Environmental Program's Regional Resource Centre for Asia-Pacific and director/representative of the UNEP's Regional Office for Asia and Pacific; Prof. I.M. Pandey, dean of the School of Management; Prof. Nazrul Islam, Management of Technology field coordinator, SOM; and Mr. Karma Rana, institute secretary.
