SOM dean nominated to corporate board
Prof. I.M. Pandey (right), dean of the School of Management has been nominated as a member of the Board of Directors of Indorama Polymers Public Company Limited.
Indorama is a manufacturer of PET Polymers since 1995. Headquartered in Thailand, it was promoted by the APL Group. It is also the parent company of StarPet in USA, OrionPet in Europe, AsiaPet and Petform in Thailand . Together they form a 424,000 tons per year producer of PET Polymers. In 2005, the company's total revenue was 11,744 million baht with a net profit of 772 million baht and total assets of 5.6 billion baht.
Prof. Pandey is also a member of the boards of directors of three other companies: Industrial Finance Corporation of India; Cochin Shipyard Company and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited.
