The Southeast Asia Urban Environmental Management Applications Project (SEA-UEMA), 2003 2008, is a partnership program between the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and AIT.
The goal of the project is to contribute to the improvement of urban environmental conditions in Southeast Asia through improved implementation of urban environmental management policies and innovative local solutions of the urban environmental problems in the three key UEM sub-sectors of: i) water and sanitation ii) solid waste and iii) air pollution and thereby improve the local environmental conditions with particular attention to the poor and women.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. A diploma, with some experience in secretarial work
2. Good computer skills
3. Experience in handling office equipment and maintenance of the same
4. Good knowledge of spoken and written English
5. Friendly and flexible personality
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To assist with general project activities
2. To assist with general secretarial duties related to the project
3. Assist with maintaining office equipment, mailing and routing of office documents
4. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Technology Marketing Manager, Rest of Asia
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical seminars targeted at market influencers (consulting engineers, OEMs, architects etc) in South East Asia and India.
- Provide support to our OEM customers in their product launch. The support is in the form of providing technical training to OEMs sales and dealers.
- Work with local governments in Thailand and India on energy efficiency regulations
- Work closely with our external service center and build up the capability to provide technical support.
Desired Background / Experience:
- BS/ MS in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute.
- Prior experience of working in the HVAC industry for 5 7 years is required. Knowledge of a/c system and compressor technologies is desired.
- Prior experience in working with consulting or design institutes will be an additional advantage
- Should have experience in conducting technical seminars.
- Fluent in English and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Willing to travel
Routine Activities:
Develop training kit/materials for technical seminars.
Conduct yearly technical seminar & training (plan & execute technical programs). Train 400-500 persons, 5-10 per sessions
Application Engineer
Responsibilities:
Provide Application Support to Air-conditioning and Refrigeration OEMs in South East Asia
Handle all Customer Technical Queries Relating to Line Rejects and Field Rejects
Occasionally Visit Sites to Diagnose Problems
Conduct Technical Seminars
Support the Sales and Marketing Team
Requirements:
- University Graduate Major in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration, HVAC related or mechanical engineering with experience in AC compressor
- 3 to 5 Years Working Experience in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Field preferably with a Manufacturer or Contractor
- Good Technical Knowledge of Compressors, System Design and Trouble Shooting
- Sound Electrical Knowledge and Hands on Experience Desirable
- Good Command of English, Interpersonal Skills, and Computer Skills
- Able to work independently and travel overseas
