K-water hosts AIT interns, presents lecture
Dr. Kyul-Ho Kwak, former Korean minister of Environment and currently president of Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) will deliver a speech on the direction of environmental policies in the Republic of Korea as part of an ongoing lecture series. This is jointly organized by The Korea Water Corporation, Thailand and AIT. The lecture will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, 20 June 2006 in the Milton Bender Auditorium. All faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the event.
K-Water is one of the largest water resources companies in the world. AIT is working with the company toward closer collaboration, including an internship program that is currently hosting 14 AIT students in South Korea. The internship program which started 1 June 2006 will train AIT students from various fields in the three schools and six nationalities: Bangladesh 1, Myanmar 2, Vietnam 1, Thailand 4, Lao P.D.R. 3, Nepal 3. The team leader is Zaved Hossain Khan from Bangladesh.
