K-water visit speaks of further collaboration
On 20 June 2006, Dr. Kyul-Ho Kwak, former Korean minister of Environment and currently president of Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) delivered a speech on the direction of environmental policies in the Republic of Korea as part of an ongoing lecture series, in the Milton Bender Auditorium.
Philippines delegation explores partnership
On 29 June 2006, nine members of the city council from the Science City of Munoz, Nieva Ecija, Philippines, visited AIT to explore the collaboration. The delegation was led by the Hon. Mr. Jose A. Ruiz, Jr., who is a 1979 graduate of AIT's Agricultural and Food Engineering program.
Lecture focuses on grid computing
Thai National Grid Center and AIT are presenting the 3rd Distinguished Lecture on Grid Computing Technology on 'Parallelization of Branch and Bound Algorithm with the Hierarchical Master-Worker Paradigm on the Grid.' The lecture will be conducted by Dr. Kento Aida, Department of Information Processing, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. 18 July 2006 at the AIT Conference Center.
Video lectures deal with wastewater management
Prof. Chongrak Polprasert of the Environmental Engineering and Management field of study, School of Environment, Resources and Development, will present two video lectures to graduates students of the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education in The Netherlands.
