SET gets new field coordinators

Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, dean of the School of Engineering and Technology, has named new field coordinators.

The fields and their coordinators are:

  • Computer Science and Information Management: Dr. Sumanta Guha (replacing Dr Vatcharaporn Esichaikul)
  • Industrial Engineering and Management/Design and Manufacturing Engineering: Dr Voratas Kachitvchyanukul (reappointment)
  • Mechatronics/Microelectronics: Dr. Nitin Afzulpurkar (reappointment)
  • Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems: Dr. Xiaoyong Chen (reappointment)
  • Telecommunications: Dr. R.M.A. Premanandana Rajatheva (reappointment)
  • Information and Communications Technologies: Dr. Guha, Dr. Rajatheva and Dr. Chen
  • Construction, Engineering and Infrastructure Management: Dr Bonaventura H.W. Hadikusumo (replacing Prof. Stephen O. Ogunlana)
  • Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering: Dr. Noppadol Phien-wej (reappointment)
  • Structural Engineering: Dr. Pennung Warnitchai (replacing Dr. Pichai Nimityongskul)
  • Transportation Engineering: Dr. Shinya Hanaoka (replacing Prof. Yordphol Tanaboriboon)
  • Water Engineering and Management: Dr. Mukand Singh Babel (reappointment)
  • Offshore Technology and Management: Dr. Pham Huy Giao and Dr. Joko W.

The coordinators begin 1 July 2006 and will serve for 2 years, or until Prof. Worsak ceases to serve as SET dean.
