Asian Innovation Awards deadline 8 September

The Wall Street Journal Asia is accepting nominations for the Asian Innovation Awards 2006 through 10:59 p.m. 8 September 2006. These annual awards, presented in association with Global Entrepolis@Singapore, are Asia's premier honor for individuals and companies who come up with new ideas, methods or technologies, or apply existing knowledge in creative, new ways to improve quality of life or productivity.

The contest is looking for world-changing ideas from the backyard to the laboratory. An independent panel of judges from across the Asia-Pacific region will judge the entries, which can come from any field. The criteria: level of creativity or degree of innovation; quality of execution, and the potential impact on quality of life or productivity.
