Former AIT faculty recognized as eminent engineer
Congratulations to AIT former faculty, Prof. S.C. Bhattacharya who has been recognized as Eminent Engineer by one of the largest engineering institutions in the world, Institution of Engineers (India) at the 22nd National Convention of Mechanical Engineers held from 9-10 September 2006 at Guwahati, where he also delivered the D. S. P. Luthra Memorial Lecture on 9 September. The Convention was organized to provide a platform to various stakeholders to deliberate on the theme 'Energy Technologies Strategies for Optical Utilization of Natural Resources' and relevant topics. The Convention consists of programmes like Memorial Lectures, State of the Art Lecture & felicitation of Eminent Engineers etc.
The Institutions of Engineers (India), the organizer of the National Convention is a premier professional organization of engineers in the country engaged in the pursuit of promotion and advancement of the science, practice and business of engineering in India.
Prof. Bhattacharya previously served as a faculty member in Energy Field of Study, School of Environment, Resources, and Development (SERD) for 22 years.
