Visiting faculty joins Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering

The Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering field of study at the School of Engineering and Technology welcomes Dr. Janakiram Karthikeyan, as a visiting professor seconded by Government of India from the College of Engineering, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India for the August 2006 Semester.

Prof. Karthikeyan obtained his Bachelors Degree from Sri Venkateswara University and Masters and Doctorate Degrees from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He has been a DAAD Guest Researcher and a DAAD Guest Professor at Brandenburg Technical University, Cottbus, Germany. He specializes in Environmental Engineering and his research interests include wastewater treatment, color removal, municipal and hazardous waste management.
