Capacity-building agreement with Nepal to be signed
On 10 October 2006, Mr. Balananda Poudel, secretary, Ministry of Education and Culture, Nepal, will witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the National Centre for Educational Development (NCED), Nepal, and AIT for the implementation of the Institutional Capacity Building Plan for NCED.
The agreement, which was initially signed in Nepal by Mr. Ram S. Sinha, executive director, NCED, will be signed by AIT President Said Irandoust.

A new policy on affiliated faculty was endorsed by the Academic Senate at the 27 September meeting. This provides a formal mechanism for staff members to participate in teaching, student research supervision, and Senate discussions.

The institute recognizes and follows all official public holidays declared by the Royal Thai Government. In addition, the institute has also been observing an annual year-end break, which falls in the last week of December.

Filipino foods and international delicacies comes to the Cafeteria
Starting 4 October 2006, an external vendor now comes to the Cafeteria every first and third Wednesday of the month to sell Filipino foods and other international cuisine. This vendor sells ready-to-eat, take-home foods such as chicken pie, tuna pie, beef burger, chicken burger, brownies, potato chicken salad and bread and pastries at affordable prices.
