Former AIT faculty appointed the new ADB Country Director for Sri Lanka

On 1 November 2006, Colombo Page, a Sri Lanka Internet Newspaper, published the appointment of former AIT faculty, Mr. Richard Vokes, as the new Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Director for Sri Lanka. An economist with over 30 years of experience working on development in Asia, Mr. Vokes was a lecturer at the University of Kent in the United Kingdom and at AIT. Mr. Vokes has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Hull.
