HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn grants Royal Audience to AIT students
Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on 30 November 2006 at Chitralada Palace, graciously granted a Royal Audience to 25 AIT students who are recipients of H.M. the King's and H.M. the Queen's scholarships for the academic year 2005-2006.
The students were accompanied by Dr. Tej Bunnag, chairman of AIT Board of Trustees; AIT President Said Irandoust; Prof. Khin Ni Ni Thein, vice president for development and resources; Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, Royal Thai Government faculty representative; Mr. Benjamin A. Gargabite, coordinator for scholarships and admissions; Mrs. Wannapa Pliensri, RTG coordinator; and Miss Wilailak Yooprem of the RTG office.
During the occasion, Prof. Irandoust had the privilege and honor of presenting to Her Royal Highness some of AIT's ongoing initiatives. Her Royal Highness is very much aware of developments at AIT and indicated Her Royal Highness' personal interest and guidance in AIT's fund-raising efforts, which the institute will be following up on. AIT is fortunate to have received Royal Patronage and continuing support over the years and is privileged to have Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn as an honorary alumna and honorary faculty member of the institute.
