Infrastructure announcements for long holiday
The Infrastructure Office informs the AIT Community about the arrangements on building and housing maintenance work, ground cleaning, the campus mail, swimming pool maintenance, closing schedule of the AITCC and cafeteria vendors, safety precautions and other measures.
Safety Precautions
- Keep your doors locked every time you leave the room.
- If possible, unplug all electrical appliances when leaving for an infinite period of time.
- Inform the Security Office to make arrangement for the security of the house during long period of absence.
- In case it is really necessary to work in the office during the annual break, please inform the security in advance to make necessary arrangement for security.
- Be careful at all times to avoid any accident.
You may call SSSU at ext. no. 6000 for any security concern.
Building Maintenance Work
The maintenance work for the chiller system will be carried out starting 12 midnight of Dec. 23 to 8 a.m. of 1 Jan. 2007. There will be no air conditioning in the admin and academic buildings during this period.
Repair work will be carried out at the Admin Bldg. to replace the overhang ceiling on 23 – 31 December.
Housing Maintenance Contact Number
The housing maintenance section is open during the break, Mondays to Saturdays,
8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Request for repair/maintenance can be called to ext. no. 5987.
The housekeeping services will be carried out as usual. Any concern on housekeeping can be coordinated to ext. no. 6836.
Ground Maintenance Schedule
The ground cleaning across the campus will be carried out as usual - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. An outside contractor is commissioned for this work in lieu of the staff who will be taking the long break.
Telecommunication Services
Telephone & fax services of the Telecommunications Unit will be closed from 22nd Dec 2006 – 2nd January 2007.
Campus Mail Delivery
There will be no mail delivery and distribution on Dec. 22 - 30. However, the post office will be open on said dates, Monday – Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Those who wish to collect their mail could do so during the abovementioned dates.
The Thailand Post messenger will still be delivering mail to AIT.
AITCC Operation
The AIT Conference Center is closed for the holiday from 23 December 2006 and will resume operation on 3 January 2007.
The last buffet lunch of 2006 will be served on Tuesday, 19 December 2006 and the first buffet lunch of 2007 will be served on Tuesday, 9 January 2007.

Swimming Pool Closed for Maintenance
The swimming pool will be closed for maintenance and water treatment from
