SERD welcomes visiting senior lecturer

The School of Environment, Resources and Development welcomes Dr. Jega V. Jegatheesan from Australia as a visiting senior lecturer in the Environmental Engineering and Management field of study.

Dr. Jegatheesan (right) received his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney, Australia in 1999, and has served as a senior lecturer in the School of Engineering, James Cook University, Australia, since 2001. He also worked for three years as a consultant at the Australian Water Technologies, a subsidiary of Sydney Water Corporation.

Former AIT board member Dr. Sippanondha Ketudat passes away

The AIT community conveys deepest condolences on the passing away of Dr. Sippanondha Ketudat, a former member of the AIT Board of Trustees, on 16 July 2006.

Dr. Sippanondha was a board member from 1976 to 1982 and played a major role in shaping education reform in Thailand, as well as in the formulation of the mechanism for providing research grants.

Agreement means students, faculty from Taiwan

AIT and the National Yulin University of Science & Technology in Taiwan signed an open-ended agreement to collaborate on 21 July 2006. The agreement means a secondment of a faculty member from a Taiwanese university, beginning as early as the August semester.

Iranians' visit may lead to collaboration

A high level delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran visited 19 July
