OTM Open House Day on 20 February

The Offshore Technology & Management (OTM), School of Engineering & Technology (SET) will be holding an OTM Open House Day on Tuesday, 20 February 2007 at the AIT Conference Center, Room B 206

09:15-09:30 a.m. - Mr. Pipop Pruecksamars of Petroleum Institute of Thailand will address 'The view of industry' requirements on the quality of graduates'

Japanese Government contributes US$113,545 to AIT for fiscal year 2007
The Government of Japan recently approved a contribution in the amount of US$ 113,545 to AIT for fiscal year 2007 for scholarships (US$ 81,307) and Gender and Development Studies (US$ 32,238). The approval was disclosed at the meeting on 2 February 2007 between AIT delegation, led by Prof.

Suvarnabhumi Airport’s pavement cracks enlist AIT experts investigation
The Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited recently invited experts from AIT to assist in an independent study to investigate the cause of the Suvarnabhumi Airport’s pavement cracks.

AIT to host a WAP secretariat and enters collaboration with PSU
AIT will host the Wetlands Alliance Program secretariat. The decision was made at the meeting of Wetlands Alliance hosted by CORIN at the Prince of Songkla University (PSU) in Had Yai City, Songkla Province, from 28-29 January 2007. Representing AIT at the meeting was Prof.

AIT joins ‘Services Science Collaboration Program’
On 1 February, Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President, attended the MoU signing ceremony on the establishment of a "Services Science Collaboration Program" held at the Government House. The program is part of the Government of Thailand and IBM Thailand initiative to further develop and strengthen the service science discipline and manpower in the country.

ASEAN Foundation approves AIT’s project on poverty mapping in ASEAN countries
The Board of Trustees of the ASEAN Foundation has recently approved the project proposed by AIT entitled "Capacity Building in Poverty Mapping in the ASEAN Member Countries" in the amount of US$ 367,489, under the auspices of the project proposals initiated by the Government of Japan.
