The School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) welcomes Dr. Philippe Doneys (right) who has joined the Gender and Development Studies Field of Study effective 01 March 2007.

Dr. Philippe Doneys received his: Honors BA (IDS) from the University of Toronto, Canada, MA (SEA Studies) from SOAS, University of London, and Ph.D. (IR) from SciencesPo (Paris). Dr. Doneys has been a lecturer at Fribourg University, Thammasat University and more recently was a visiting professor in the IDS programme at Chulalongkorn University. Dr. Doneys specializes in development issues in Southeast Asia, including the role of civil society (especially women's groups), HIV/AIDS, the role of technologies in gender and development, as well as transnational issues such as migration, global activism and globalization.'
