AIT joins hands with US Embassy in screening of movie and discussion on "Global Warming"
On 22 March 2007, AIT in collaboration with the US Embassy held an event to focus on the issue of global warming, including a showing of the film "An Inconvenient Truth". The film was followed by an open forum discussion,
featuring a panel consisting of Mr. James Waller, Regional Environmental and Health Officer at the US Embassy in Bangkok, and Professor Ram Shrestha of AIT's energy program. Over six hundred participants including faculty, staff, students, and students from the AIT community school attended the event. With this overwhelming expression of interest, the US Embassy now plans to hold similar events on other important topics at AIT on an ongoing basis.
