AIT spends 41.1 Million Baht on energy in 2006
For the year 2006, AIT spent 41.1 million baht on energy, compared to 36.8 million baht in 2004 and 38.56 million baht in 2005. This amount covered consumption across the entire campus, including the academic and administrative buildings, faculty and staff housing, student accommodations, and auxiliary services. The academic and administrative offices accounted for almost 65% of the total spending or 26.7 million baht.
In the last quarter of the year, the expenditure on energy was 9.65 million baht, which is .87 million baht lower than the third quarter. The lowest consumption was recorded in December at only 2.68 million baht. AIT's long holiday in December during which schools and offices were closed for more than a week, could be a reason for this drop in consumption. The top energy consumers remain the three schools, the AIT Conference Center , Library and the administrative building.
