Delegation from LG electronics visit AIT

On Wednesday April 11, 2007, a delegation from LG Electronics (Thailand), comprising Mr. Hae Gyu Lee, Admin. Advisor and Ms. Na-kwan Yodcharoen, Manager, HR and General Affairs, visited AIT. They were met by Amb. Yoon Jee-Joon, Senior Advisor to the President, Prof. Vilas Wuwongse, Vice President for External Relations, Dr. Joydeep Dutta, Assoc. Dean of SET, and Ms. Kanya Worawichawong, Corporate Relations Coordinator. The main purpose of the visit was to explore potential collaboration with AIT. The LGE delegation expressed their keen interest to collaborate with AIT in various aspects. Possible areas of collaboration discussed in the meeting are joint research to develop technology appropriate for this region, personnel recruitment through the provision of bonded scholarships by LGE, contributions in other forms such as equipment donation, internship program for AIT students at LGE. The delegation also invited AIT faculty and students to visit its factories in Rayong Province to learn more about its production here.
