First meeting of the Steering Committee for the Services Science Program announced

The first meeting of the steering committee for the 'Services Science Collaboration Program' will take place on 19 April 2007 and is aimed at setting the objectives and directions of services science for Thailand with the outcomes to be presented at a 'Services Science Roadmap Workshop' which will be held 25-28 April 2007.

AIT Library announces new trial of a database: EBSCO

EBSCO database is now available at the AIT Library for the AIT community as a trial database until 9 July 2007.

EBSCO database consists of Academic Search Premier database, Business Source Complete database and Regional Business News database.

Farewell reception for Sri Lankan Ambassador to Thailand

On 4 April 2007, a farewell reception was held for H.E. Mr. J.D.A. Wijewardena, Ambassador of Sri Lanka, who served as Vice Chairman of the AIT Board of Trustees as well as member of the Executive Committee.

Living labs: Mekong River Basin – AIT research project work on YouTube TV
In time for World Water Day on 22 March 2007 TVE Asia Pacific has released the broadcast and public version of a global TV series on freshwater issues.Called Living Labs, the new series looks at worldwide efforts by researchers and farmers to grow more food with less water - one of the biggest challenges in agriculture and freshwater management.

Visit of Azerbaijan’s ICT Minister and Prospects for Partnership with AIT
H.E. Professor Ali Abbasov, Minister of Communications and Information Technologies, Republic of Azerbaijan, will be visiting Thailand and Vietnam from 10-14 April 2007 in order to explore possible collaborations as well as for the exchange and sharing of ideas and experiences in information technology, education and human resources development.
