Dr. Shrinivas Rao, an alumni (D.Engg 2000 & M.Engg 1992) and a former senior lab supervisor at AIT won the Cambridge University Entrepreneurs Business Idea Competition. He was among the 10 prize winners for innovative ideas competition. Dr. Rao is pursuing a graduate course in Bioscience Enterprises (http://www.biotech.cam.ac.uk/mbe), a program offered by the Institute of Biotechnology and Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge, UK, which has been ranked as No. 1 University in the world for the last two consecutive years. The bioscience enterprise program runs in conjunction with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston, USA. Dr. Rao is a Gates Scholar at Cambridge University and a member of Trinity Hall. Prior to joining the bioscience enterprises course at Cambridge, he served as senior lab supervisor at AIT's Food Engineering and Bioprocess Technology program for 14 years.
