On 24 May 2007, AIT held the107th Graduation Ceremony to 553 students from 27 countries at the AIT Conference Center. AIT President Said Irandoust presided over the ceremony. The event was attended by Dr. Tej Bunnag, Chairman of the AIT Board of Trustees, Gen. Dr. Boonsrang Niumpradit, President of AIT Alumni Association, members of diplomatic corps, and distinguished guests.
Ceremonies were held in the morning session for graduands from the School of Engineering and Technology, and in the afternoon session for graduates from the School of Environment, Resources and Development as well as the School of Management.
Chairman of the Executive Committee of the AIT Board of Trustees, His Excellency Mr. Jonas Hafstrom, the Ambassador of Sweden to Thailand, delivered the graduation address in the morning session.
Mr. N. R. Narayana Murthy - Chairman of the Board and Chief Mentor of Infosys Technologies Limited, India who also serves as the Chairman of the AIT School of Management Board and member of the AIT Institute-Level Advisory Board, served as the graduation speaker for the afternoon session.
Among the 553 graduates, 204 from the School of Engineering and Technology, 234 from the School of Environment, Resources and Development , and 115 from the School of Management. Of the 553 graduates, 27 received doctoral degrees, 415 received Master of Engineering or Master of Science, and 111 received Master of Business Administration programs. The total number of AIT degree holders now stands at 15,324.
