The 107th Graduation Ceremony will be broadcast live on 24 May 2007 at - http://www.mmserv.ait.ac.th/graduation/
Two ceremonies will be conducted that day. The morning commencement will be for the graduands of the School of Engineering and Technology. The graduates of the School of Environment, Resources and Development and the School of Management will receive their degrees at an afternoon ceremony the same day.

AIT is honored to have two distinguished commencement speakers for the occasion. In the morning, His Excellency Mr. Jonas Hafstrom, the Ambassador of Sweden to Thailand and the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the AIT Board of Trustees will give his address. The speaker in the afternoon will be the Chairman of the Board and Chief Mentor of Infosys Technologies Limited, India, Mr. N. R. Narayana Murthy.
His Excellency Mr. Jonas Hafstrom completed his Bachelor of Law degree from Lund University in Sweden. Before assuming his diplomatic post in Thailand, he actively served Swedish embassies in Iran and the United States of America. Beyond his diplomatic services, Mr. Hafstrom has been an important player in the running of the Swedish Government. He has acted as Press Secretary and Foreign Advisor to the Chairman of the Moderate Party and then became the Assistant Undersecretary and Foreign Policy Advisor to Prime Minister Carl Bildt. He is a non-commissioned reserve captain in the Swedish Army and a member of the Swedish Defence Committee. Just before coming to Thailand, he served as the Deputy Director-General and Head of the Department for Consular Affairs and Civil Law of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
N. R. Narayana Murthy founded Infosys in 1981 along with six other software professionals and served as its CEO for 20 years before handing over the reins of the company to co-founder Nandan M. Nilekani in March 2002. He is the chairman of the governing body of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore. He is a member of the Board of Overseers of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, Cornell University Board of Trustees, Singapore Management University Board of Trustees, INSEAD's Board of Directors and the Asian Institute of Management's Board of Governors. He is also a member of the Advisory Boards and Councils of various well-known universities – such as the Stanford Graduate School of Business, the Corporate Governance initiative at the Harvard Business School, Yale University and the University of Tokyo’s President's Council.
Mr. Narayana Murthy is currently the Chairman of the AIT School of Management Board. TIME magazine's "Global Tech Influentials" list (August 2004) named Mr. Murthy as one of the ten leaders who are helping shape the future of technology. In 2006, TIME magazine again voted him as an Asian hero who has brought about revolutionary changes in Asia in the last 60 years. The Economist ranked him 8th among the top 15 most admired global leaders (2005). He was ranked 28th among the world's most-respected business leaders by the Financial Times (2005). He topped the Economic Times Corporate Dossier list of India's most powerful CEOs for two consecutive years - 2004 and 2005.
Viewers will be able to follow both commencement speeches and to witness a total of 553 degrees being conferred. Of this total, 204 are graduates of the School of Engineering and Technology, 234 the School of Environment, Resources and Development and 115 the School of Management. Among the graduates, 27 will receive doctoral degrees and 526 master degrees.
Prizes will be awarded to 34 academically outstanding graduates - among them are the best performers in each field, in each school and among women graduates.
