On 22 May 2007, AIT entered into a partnership agreement with the Ceylinco Education Group (CEG), Sri Lanka, after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding which was participated by Mr. Jagath Alwis, Deputy Chairman, CEG. CEG is a member of the largest and highly respected and diversified group of companies known as Ceylinco Consolidated.

Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Indonesia, recently proposed AIT's Transportation Engineering field of study, School of Engineering and Technology (SET), to partner the university in jointly offering a master's program in transportation engineering.

AIT delegation participates in the First International Conference on Natural Disaster Management and Rehabilitation

An AIT delegation comprising of faculty members Dr. Nitin Kumar Tripathi, Dr. Kiyoshi Honda, Dr. Pennung Warnitchai, and Mr. Jothiganesh Sundaram, joined by representatives from the Embassy of Iran, and the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), Thailand participated in the 'First International Conference on Natural Disaster Management and Rehabilitation' held in Esfahan, Iran, during 7-10 May 2007. Around 500 delegates participated in the event which was inaugurated and addressed by the Mayor; Vice Minister for Disaster and Crisis Management; Chairman, Iran Space Agency and Vice Minister for Science and Technology, along with many high-ranking officials.
