Student Ceremonies and Reception

AIT President Said Irandoust attended an appreciation ceremony organized by the Student Union (SU) at the AIT Conference Center on 21 May. According to AIT President, voluntary work is an important aspect during student life and he would like to credit the SU for organizing this event and all the students who have been actively engaged and worked voluntarily in numerous SU initiatives.

On the same day AIT President also had the Student Union (SU)-Administration meeting, witnessing the passing over of the SU presidency from Mr. Udaya Rathnayaka to Mr. Rathsayam Tiyarathtagarn, the current SU Vice President. At the event, the outgoing SU President Mr. Udaya reported on the SU activities undertaken during the January 2007 semester following which there was an oath taking ceremony for the incoming SU President Mr. Rathsayam, who will be taking over from the August 2007 semester. The AIT President commended Mr. Udaya and his team for their excellent contributions and wished Mr. Rathsayam all the best.

On 22 May, the AIT President participated in a farewell reception organized by AIT Muslim Students Association (MSA) for the students graduating this semester and their families. The MSA has been a very active association which brings together all Muslim members in the AIT Community through the organization of various events and initiatives.
