The AIT Golden Jubilee Fundraising Campaign (GJFC) team held a workshop at the Khumluang Lamphun Resort, Nakhon Nayok, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on 14 July 2007. This followed a one-day brainstorming meeting on the organization of the 'Alumni Home Coming Seminar 2007' held on 13 July at the same location.
The outputs of the brainstorming meeting were presented at the workshop. Dr. Khin Ni Ni Thein, Vice President for Development and Resources and Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe, the Campaign Director, presented
Introduction to Alumni Home Coming Seminar 2007 and a brief report of the AIT-GJFC activities from January to June 2007.
The AIT-GJFC team received valuable advices from the AIT-GJFC External Advisory Committee (EAC) members comprised of H.E. Mr. Pieter Josef Theofile Marres (Dutch Ambassador), H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Yusuf (Indonesian Ambassador), General Dr. Boonsrang Niumpradit (President of AITAA) (represented by Major General Jerdwut Kraprayoon), and Dr. Chainarong Na Lamphun (CEO of INDEX International Group and former AITAA President). - 50th Anniversary Celebration of AIT Logo and a book about AIT and AIT Alumni
- Gifts for the guests of the 50th Anniversary Celebration to be solicited from AIT Alumni as they can donate with their company logos and AIT logo together. Dr. Chainarong, CEO of INDEX International Group and AIT-GJFC EAC member pledges one gift to all participants/guests of 50th Anniversary Celebration - number 500+ is anticipated.
- The donors donation to GJFC should be recognized by means of getting their names published/announced - for example, the Brick Wall project. This project should continue and incorporate it into the AIT Land Mark area.
- Honorary Doctorates to be given on the occasion of AIT Golden Jubilee as well as AIT-AA Honorary Alumni Membership in honor of the 50th Anniversary Celebration of AIT.
